Andrew Lewis brings professional experience and academic training in organizational change, adult learning, politics and international relations to his work in the fields of negotiation, collaboration and partnering, where he provides strategic advice to companies and governments on complex commercial deals and international negotiations.

In the commercial arena, Andrew has worked extensively on sales and client relationship management challenges in both financial services and professional services. This has included the mediation of high-stakes disputes between service providers and clients, as well as the design of a negotiation center of excellence at a leading professional services firm.

He also has significant expertise in healthcare, advising pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies on strategic alliance management, including contract re-negotiation and relationship remediation. He has worked with several healthcare companies on successful market access and pricing and reimbursement negotiations with governments in Europe and Latin America.

As a facilitator and executive coach, he has led negotiation, relationship management and conflict management workshops for corporate audiences in over 30 countries since 2003, helping to enable effective internal alignment and external collaboration in the context of client, alliance, supplier and government relationships.

Andrew spent 4 years working as an advisor to the Foreign Minister of the national unity government of South Sudan during the country’s independence process from 2009-13, spearheading negotiations for the fastest ever post-independence accession of a new member state to the United Nations. He has provided advice on negotiation strategy to governments and political groups involved in disputes that have been on the agenda of the UN Security Council, including in Somalia and Ethiopia.

Andrew holds a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of Oxford, and a Masters in International Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University. In addition to English, he speaks fluent French and Spanish.
